Waterford UCC will livestream joint worship services this summer on a modified schedule.
The congregation has provided “live, or later” video streams on YouTube since 2014. We have had generous support from our Women’s Fellowship for equipment.
Here is the summer schedule:
- July 1
- July 15
- July 22
- August 12
- August 19
- August 26
- September 2
On those dates, we send out a tweet and post to our Facebook page when the live stream is starting. Following the service, you can see the latest service either from our front page or at our YouTube Channel.
Here are some frequently-asked questions and answers about our livestream channel.
What is a livestream?
A video livestream is like a live television broadcast. It can be “tuned in” on desktop computers and most modern mobile telephones. You need an Internet connection to view it.
When you click on a livestream link, you will see the video player. If you have arrived early, you may see a “countdown” for when the livestream will start. When we start sending video, it will start on your device automatically.
And if I want to watch the livestream later?
That’s easy. If you want to see the most recent version, it is at our Web site: waterforducc.com. You can see any of our earlier worship gatherings at our YouTube Channel. Click on the word “Worship” to see the full list.
Why do you livestream your worship gathering?
Waterford UCC believes that our livestream service helps open our congregation’s doors to our community. Some people are unable to come to church. Sunday work schedules interfere with our best intentions. Abilities may keep others housebound. Some folks just can’t sit through an hour in a public gathering. Others may want to see what they’re getting into.
We take radical welcome seriously. When we say, “No matter who you are, no matter where you are on life’s journey, you’re welcome here,” we mean it. If you aren’t able to be here in person, we invite you to watch us on YouTube.
